Feedback on Insurance

I'm not sure how many of you guys that read that have TRICARE insurance but in the event that some of you do can you tell me your thoughts on it?

My husband is in the Army Reserves.  We are trying to work things out where I can quit work when Jellybean is born and the only insurance he can get is through TRICARE, he isn't eligible for insurance with his work...  I know his work situation can change between now and then and he could become eligible but I would still like to know your opinions on TRICARE.

Some may say that this is too early to be worrying about this but I would rather have all of our bases covered in the event that something happens and I have to leave work or if baby comes early.

Craftiness

I want to be a crafty person. But I don't have a crafty bone in my body.  I see all these gorgeous things on blogs, on TV, in magazines and I wish that I could do something like what I see.  I give it a go and it doesn't turn out like I want it to...

My sister on the other hand is SO crafty! She can turn nothing into something fantastic in a heartbeat!  She makes dresses, invitations, decorative pieces for her house, and so much more...  I should really hire her to do a few things for me!

I need to get her to sit down with me one day and show me how she works her magic! I wonder if there is a secret to her craftiness... If so, maybe she can teach me!

snow, SnOw, SNOW

It is supposed to snow here tomorrow and I could not be more excited!  I am hoping to wake up to a white blanket on the ground!  I absolutely LOVE snow and a snow day would be so much fun!!!

My northern readers are probably shaking their heads right now...  but us southern people do not see a lot of snow and any mention of it gets us excited...

I have to cut this short now, I have to make a list for the grocery store so that I can join everyone else in the world who is going to buy milk and bread tonight!

Lots of Pictures

in no particular order...  because I'm being lazy like that!

Matt, Zach, Stephen, Karmen, Ava, Me, Madyson, and Alline

I made these cupcakes for Thanksgiving...  They are sweet potato pecan cupcakes and they were delicious!

Shannon, Me and Kydie at my work Christmas party.

Me and Zach at my work Christmas party.

Karmen took this picture of Ava as a possible Christmas card picture.  She used my camera so when I got it back I saw this one and thought it was cute!

A very special day

Our wedding anniversary is coming up... I have scanned a few of our wedding pictures and have scheduled a post for that day... Be watching on September 30th at 11:00 am for the post!!! Below is a sneak peek of one of the pictures!

Why did I choose 11:00 am for it to post? We got married at 11:00 am! Yes, bright and early for a wedding but I didn't want to waste an entire day sitting around waiting on my wedding!
As for the goings on in our lives... there hasn't been too much. And we are completely cool with that! Just enjoying Alabama football and all that goes along with football season.
I took a few vacation days at the end of last week and spent them with my sister and Ava... It is always nice to be able to spend some extra time with family.
This coming weekend is Zach's brother's wedding... and when that is over we will thankfully have no more big commitments for the rest of the year! This year has been crazy and I am so glad that things will finally settle down for us.
Life is good for us... how are things for you?

This week Zach is with his unit making up his September drill (his brother's wedding is the weekend of his September drill so he is making it up this week) and he went to the local KFC for lunch... He pulled out his debit card to pay and a nice gentleman said put away your debit card, I've got your meal... Zach told him that he didn't have to that he could pay for his own but the man insisted. Some soldiers face ridicule (luckily my soldier has not) but this one gentleman showed me that there are still good people out there and people that support our troops.

We could all be more like this gentleman... it is nice to do things for people every now and then...

Here is a list of things you can do that may spark your own idea... who knows, your good deed may make someone's day...

*Help someone carry their groceries to their car.
*Pay for someone's lunch.
*Send a card to a relative you haven't seen in a while.
*Wash someone's car.
*Babysit a friend's child so they can go to dinner.
*Send a card to a soldier.
*Send a gift to a friend.
*Volunteer at your local hospital.
*Take dinner to an elderly neighbor.

I could go on and on... but you get the idea. I hope you have a great day and a marvelous weekend!

i have missed my tv

I didn't realize how much I actually watched TV until I didn't have it to watch, but as of Saturday night at 8:45 our Directv is up and running...

Zach had drill this weekend so I hung out at the house all weekend... it was nice to just read and relax and watch TV.

This week is going to be crazy busy because I am doing the work of two people... so I am hoping that all goes well!

Not really much to update on so I am going to get back to work... Have a great Monday!

I adore long weekends...

This weekend was absolutely amazing... It was spent with family and friends and of course lots of good food! We had a great time and ate too much but it was so much fun to just be together!

I have started cross stitching again and I would post some pictures for you but I don't have the internet at my house yet. Directv is coming today about our TV service but we haven't set the internet up... that is one of those things that doesn't have to be done immediately... So no pictures until I can get internet access at home... but it is so much fun and I have completed a lot!!! You can follow me on Twitter and I will post some pictures there!

Totally random... but I am really missing Ava! I miss coming home to her every afternoon!!! That little girl is something else! I am going to see her tonight though and give her lots of hugs and kisses!!!

I am sorry for the random posts lately but not having internet at home I have to cram everything into posts when I am at work... I have a mental running list of what I need to blog about... I have so many pictures to post that I need to make an actual list of them...

Well the phone beckons... I hope you have a great day!

the question of the week...

"Since Zach is home, when are you going to start trying to have a baby?" I can't count the number of times I have been asked that since Zach got home last week...

The answer? Well I can't tell you, then I would have to shoot you... I'm just kidding. I really can't tell you though. We have discussed it though but that is between us for now. We will let the world know we are pregnant whenever that time may come...

We want to surprise our families with our pregnancy so we have decided to not tell anyone when we start trying! Surprises really are the best you know!

I have always thought about how we would tell our families that we are going to have a baby! I have read of people wrapping up pregnancy tests and giving it as a gift... signing a holiday card "X, Y and Baby Z"... the most unique I have heard of so far was when my sister-in-law Erika told us that they were expecting. We all went to their house for dinner and game night and we decided to play hangman... I bet you can guess where this is going... Her puzzle's answer was "I am pregnant"!!! We were so excited!!! So I have to have something exciting for when we tell our families...

What are some fun and exciting ways that you guys told your families that you were pregnant? Leave them in the comments section and I will post the really good ones in a blog post in the future!!! And who knows, I might steal your idea to tell our families that we are expecting when the time comes!!!

Moving Back In

I am sitting here making a list of things we need to buy before/after we move back to our house... Mostly groceries since we took all of ours to Karmen's and they are long gone...

I have been sitting here for a few minutes and have already filled up an entire page... and there is tons more that I know needs to be on this list... So this all got me to thinking that we need to have a "We're Moving Back in Party"... Kind of like a stock the pantry party for newlyweds but only we aren't newlyweds anymore... I am totally kidding about the party but man I wish we were still newlyweds so we could have a party and be done with it!!! I just looked at our local grocery store ad to kind of remind me what we may need... I kept seeing things that I wanted but those things will have to wait because our needs are way more important!!!

I'm off to finish my list... Hopefully everything won't cost us an arm and a leg...

Happy Monday!
