The End of 2009

Zach and I are on our way to his parent's house to bring in the new year. I just wanted to take a second to write one last post for 2009.

2009 has been a wonderful year for us and 2010 will be an even better year for us!

All of you my dear readers will be in my prayers this new year!

God bless you and your family! Talk to you next year!!!

It's official...

I realized Christmas day that I had not posted this yet...  And then I forgot about it again until today...  Sorry for the delay.

I have polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS). Which is exactly what we thought...

My labs came back a little better this time so that is good.

To save you from all the details that don't really matter I will skip to the important part.  I start Clomid in January when I begin my next cycle.  My doctor was really optimistic about everything so that made me feel a lot better.

So please continue to pray for us as we continue on this road to parenthood.  We would really appreciate them!

Christmas with my Family

We celebrated Christmas with my family last night!  We had such a great time as we always do...  Here are just a few pictures...

We sent my dad on a little scavenger hunt to find his present this year!  We got him a guitar because that is what he wanted, he thought that after Christmas they were going to save and buy him one, little did he know that we had all pitched in and got it for him.

We got my mom some new cookware and we sent her on a little scavenger hunt too...  she only thought we were sending my dad on a wild goose chase!

Ava had a blast opening presents this year, she was so excited and couldn't wait until it was her turn.

My mom and dad got Ava a harmonica as one of her little gifts, here she is playing it with my dad playing his.

Ava was probably most excited about her digital camera that Nanny got her and she took pictures of everyone all night!

Below are just some random pictures that I took!

These pictures aren't from last night but I wanted to share them...  First are my Christmas decorations and our tree...

We also had a private photo session with Santa since Ava's first pictures didn't turn out good.  The photographer that took them did a horrible job so we placed a call to the North Pole and Santa came back down to visit Ava for another picture.

Merry Christmas from our family to yours!

the greatest of intentions

I have a post ready about yesterday but I am too tired to put the pictures in the post to publish it...  That would involve me getting out from under my blanket and out of my comfy chair to find the cable and my camera.  And I am just really not in the mood to do that right now...  maybe later, no guarantees though.

But I do have one tidbit of information for you.  I have yet another doctors appointment tomorrow afternoon at 2 to go over all of my tests and lab results so if you could please keep me in your prayers as we discuss everything and formulate a plan...

I will more than likely tweet the findings as it takes far less time to post...  My tweets are private but feel free to follow, I will more than likely accept you.

Thanks in advance for the prayers!  Have a wonderful night!

Lots of Pictures

in no particular order...  because I'm being lazy like that!

Matt, Zach, Stephen, Karmen, Ava, Me, Madyson, and Alline

I made these cupcakes for Thanksgiving...  They are sweet potato pecan cupcakes and they were delicious!

Shannon, Me and Kydie at my work Christmas party.

Me and Zach at my work Christmas party.

Karmen took this picture of Ava as a possible Christmas card picture.  She used my camera so when I got it back I saw this one and thought it was cute!

For Sale

2003 Lexus ES300...

I'm just kidding.  But my car and I are seriously not getting along right now...

This morning I hit this...  (this is one of the access points to our underground utilities)

This is what my car looked like by time I got to work...

And thanks to one of the wonderful security guards at work my car now looks like this...

It has been a long day...  I am going to go edit lots of pictures to share in a post soon!

*Sorry for the poor quality photos...  I took these with my iPhone.

my mind tends to wander a bit...

Lately my mind wanders all the time to having a baby.  For the last eight months all I have thought about is anything and everything BABY!

I can't wait to decorate my little boy or little girl's nursery and pick things out for him or her.  I find myself on Babies R Us all the time just looking at bedding and cribs and travel systems and clothes and bottles and pacifiers...  I think Babies R Us should allow you to make a "we are trying to have a baby and might want this when we are pregnant" registry...  Don't you think that would be a good idea?  I have a folder in my favorites with links to items that I like, I have a folder on my desktop with pictures of things that I like.  I'm organized like that!

Anywho, since I have been looking for neat things, I thought I would get some feedback from all of you moms out there...  what is the one item that you could not live without (or your favorite item) when you had your baby?  Just leave me a comment and I will check it out...  Thanks for your help!

Appointment Yesterday

I had an appointment with a nurse at my reproductive endocrinologist's office yesterday...  I had more blood work done and I also had an ultrasound.  I have a few small cysts on my right ovary and a larger cyst (the size of a jawbreaker) on my left ovary.  I go back on December 22 to actually talk to the doctor and we will decide how we want to go about this.

As far as life in general...  its been ok.  I have been a little emotional this week...  many different things have upset me but I just keep trucking on.

The holidays are upon us and I can't guarantee when my next post will be because we have so much going on...  but I promise to update shortly after my appointment on the 22nd and let you all know what our course of action is...

the car that eats bulbs.

My car needs to go to BA (bulbs anonymous) because it seems to be addicted to new bulbs.  On Tuesday after my apppointment Zach and my brother in law Matt changed my brake light that has been out forever, and my head light that went out on Monday night and they replaced the other head light because I am weird and didn't want one head light to be brighter than the other (or even worse, a different color!)!  So then last night we realize that I have another tail light out!!!  Come on car, please quit eating my bulbs!

The findings...

My appointment went well on Tuesday.  I don't have a definite answer as to what is going on but we are on our way to finding out.

I had more blood taken and I got a shot of progesterone to make me start my period.  When I do start I have to call and go in for more blood work and an ultrasound.  Then I go back on the 22nd of this month for my follow up.

We got a lot of information on infertility (which we haven't been classified as infertile but we will more than likely need some help).  The way she was talking is that Clomid will be our first medication of choice but we will see what her plan is when I go for my follow up.

That is where we stand right now...  not a lot of answers but we are working towards them.
